It is one thing to release hit songs, it is another for an artiste to grow in the pace of their songs.

Over the years, some artistes have been fortunate enough to release big songs every year but the artiste remain relatively smaller than their songs.

PeoplesGist.com takes a look at 6 music stars whose songs are bigger than them

Orezi

Sprisal Entertainment artiste Orezi release monstrous singles at least every year but he is smaller than artistes who barely release hits.

Orezi has managed to bless the industry with hits such as Rihanna, Shoki, You Garrit, Shuperu among other songs. His latest hits are Jogede and Double Your Hustle.

A closer look at these songs show his songs are outperforming him.

D’Prince

Despite his career being stagnated for a while now, D’Prince has more hit songs than any other Mo’Hits artiste aside D’Banj. On few artiste have more today.
The singer was dropped by MTN last year, an unfortunate event by Mavin standard.

If D’Prince’s career had progressed like his songs back in the day, he’d still hold plenty relevance today like D’Banj who is enjoying the reward of past glories.

Small Doctor

Small Doctor has blessed the streets with some of their favorite songs in the past 2 years but unfortunately, his career hasn’t grown pass the street.

Perhaps Small Doctor need some nurturing from Olamide, an artiste who represents the street but has sold his songs pass there.

The Agege bred artiste has been restricted to performing at events such as street carnivals, Computer Village and so forth

Tekno

Triple MG star Tekno is a little behind his songs unlike his mates, Lil Kesh, Kiss Daniel and Reekado Banks.
Part of the blame can be put on his label and management. Triple MG are trying their best that Iyanya remain their premium artiste which has taken a toll on Tekno’s growth.

His singles, Duro, Tekno and Wash are songs that an artiste like Wizkid & Davido could bank on for years.

Runtown

Runtown is trying his best to catch up with his songs but somehow he is still a yard or two behind.

The Enugu born singer has several hit songs on his debut album but he is not headlining shows or on the lips of industry commentators unlike his peers.

Runtown has some moves to make if he is to catch up with the progress of his childhood friend Phyno.

Dammy Krane

Dammy Krane is supposed to be in the mold of Wizkid today if wishes were horses. Unfortunately for him his career doesn’t follow the path of his songs.

Take for example, his song, Amin was an anthem. Most of the listener don’t even know who sang it. That is a very different case to Wizkid who yesterday was followed by Taraji P Henson after listening to his song on Apple Music.

How many people followed Dammy Krane after listening to Amin? Perhaps none
